Amazon Associates Bookmarklet

I complained in a recent post that I had trouble putting the Amazon Associates code into my Amazon links.

Well reader to the rescue.

I got an email suggesting I try this cool bookmarklet that you can add to the Firefox toolbar.  It’s the link highlighted with the words "Create Amazon Associates Link".

You need to change the properties of the bookmarklet or you’ll be sending dollars to Groovy Mother instead of yourself.  You do that by going to "manage bookmarks" in Firefox and changing the code in the Amazon Associates bookmarklet from groovymother to your acccount name.

But once you do that it works like a charm.  Whenever you are on a page in Amazon, you just click on the bookmarklet on the toolbar and the URL changes to the link you need to drop into your blog.

Gotta love that.
