Willets Point Stadium

I am a Jet fan.

I have been excited about the Jets moving back across the river since the subject came up about four years ago.

But I always wondered why they focused on the west side of Manhattan.  The real estate in Manhattan is among the most expensive land in the world.  It just seemed like the wrong place to build a big public facility.

Given that the Jets started out at Shea Stadium (and presumably were named for the planes that flew in and out of LaGuardia), I always wondered why they didn’t plan to build the stadium out near Shea.

Well now it turns out that Willets Point is Plan B.

It should have been Plan A in my opinion.
