Best Blog Integration App For Our Union Square Ventures Facebook Page?

Our Union Square Ventures facebook page is kind of empty. We have 252 fans but nothing to do there.

I’d like to import the Union Square Ventures blog posts onto the page and also notify our fans in their mini-feed when we put up a new post.

It’s too bad that Facebook doesn’t offer a service that does this on their commercial pages. They do let me import my personal blog posts as notes in my personal profile.

Fortunately, Facebook is an open platform and I can add any one of a number of third party apps to our Union Square Ventures page.

I am thinking of going with FlogBlog but before I do, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I am looking for reliability, good presentation, ease of use, and news feed integration.

I am in a similar situation and, as far as I can tell, FlogBlog is the best thing out there at the moment.

Only a small subset of applications work with Pages. Unfortunately, FlogBlog isn’t one of them yet. I haven’t been able to find a RSS app that can be used with Pages, so I’ve been using the Posted Items app and manually adding content for now. Hopefully, FlogBlog or other RSS app developers will add the hooks for Pages to their app at some point.

Hey Fred, you may want to give our (Dapper’s) Facebook AppMaker a try (http://www.dapper.net/faceb…While it can do quite a lot more than just presenting your blog as a facebook app, it will certainly do that quite easily.Let me know if you’d like and I’ll send you your blog as a facebook app.Cheers,Eran

you could always just make a “personal” Union Sq. Ventures page. And just have the webmaster be the manager of it. That what I do with the party 4 a Cause. my friend Jay (Jay O) manages that, albeit, not well. but still…

hmm.. does that replace the web site? is facebook hoping to have people stop using the “regular internet” and just FB?

I put Simply RSS up on my FB profile yesterday. I really dig their list format. When you click a post, the full article with photos expands below. Doesn’t update friends when there’s a new blog post or seem to integrate with Pages. Here’s the app:http://www.facebook.com/app…Here’s it on my profile (with FlogBlog below it for comparison):http://www.facebook.com/pro

It would be nice, but I don’t think you can add flogblog to pages, at least not yet.

I like FlogBlog but since I am always in favor of aggregating the services I use, how about our very own Twitter? Combine it with TwitterFeed (http://twitterfeed.com/) and any of your team members can say Hello or automatically share the latest post through it

Hey Fred,You’re in luck ’cause you’re on TypePad! Check out the post at the Everything TypePad blog:http://everything.typepad.c…”As Facebook announced yesterday, we are excited to offer Facebook Beacon functionality on TypePad. Facebook Beacon is a new feature on Facebook makes it simple to insert actions into your Facebook Mini-Feed and News Feed from sites outside of Facebook, and then in turn share them with your friends on Facebook. Offering Facebook Beacon on TypePad means that you can now choose to share your new blog posts with your friends on Facebook.”
