Top 10 Records of 2005 – Honorable Mention

Sinead
The surprise of the year was a comeback by Sinead O’Connor in the form of a rasta singer.

The record is called Throw Down Your Arms and it got me to go back and listen to Sinead’s old records and there are some really good ones.

It also got me into Burning Spear, who I hadn’t really appreciated before.

This record really never took off in our house, but I’ve listened to it probably 20 times and I haven’t got tired of it yet.

Sinead’s rendition of Curly Locks is so touching, it brings the good girl/bad boy story to life.

And the final four songs; Downpressor Man, Throw Down Your Arms, Untold Stories, and War are a  fantastic stretch of music that as I write this makes me thing this record should have gotten into my top 10.
