I really enjoyed listening to this interview. Thanks for sharing.
I’ll take her to the gym with me tomorrow for a listen.
Smart and well-spoken.
Quite candid interview.”Entrepreneurs that know where to find the bathroom.” Good one! True that some deals are more time-consuming to manage than others. If the entrepreneurs don’t grow, they become a drain.Interesting contrast: $3M valuations aren’t even in the vocabulary of blockchain ICOs. Companies are raising $3-10M on whatever valuations. Valuations aren’t even mentioned. It’s about spinning a token and getting it listed. If a viable startup emerges, that’s almost inconsequential.
so many are raising on the back of the Ethereum protocol. is it a bubble?
Not a bubble, but lots of activity. Getting funded is a good thing, as a starting point.
what in your opinion would be the signal to look for that indicates a bubble may be forming in the Ethereum ecosystem?
Very interesting! Joanne has a much better and more dynamic presence than Batelle does. No question. One surprise was the statement ‘some people [that I have invested in] I talk to every day’.I wonder what the long term outcome of that group investment wise vs. people that rarely seek advice or direction.
Michele Scarponi was killed today. It can happen to the best. If you ride a bicycle be careful.
How awful. I ride my bike to Chelsea Piers. I was hit by a cab, flew in the air and landed on my back with my backpack for cushioning. I was lucky… that time.
Ouch!
What a smart Gotham Gal! I could listen to her all day.
Very insightful talk. Key takeaways to like : 1. ficus on verticals, 2. Back mature people with experience who know how to find their way to the bathroom 3. Back those who are survivors 4. VC behavior can destroy companies who can create solid economy albeit at a smaller scale 5. Women do it differently 6. Be eternally optimistic
What do you get when you combine two really seasoned and insightful people in a room for a conversation about tech startups and investments? The Perfect Interview!Fantastic conversation, GG is a natural speaker!
