Funding Friday: Don Giovanni Records

I got such a chuckle(s) watching this Kickstarter video that I immediately backed this project.

I love it.

music – ever a hard nut to crack on the web.

They’re a good, honest label. I had the pleasure of seeing one of their artists, Sammus, when she opened for Palm earlier this year: http://anearful.blogspot.co

Help Don Giovanni Records move into a new space and expand our operations!I think that Kickstarter needs to bifurcate and have another brand for these types of ‘projects’. I think it really deprecates what they are all about. I am sure that has been discussed ad naseum internally and for whatever reason they have decided it’s ok. But I really think it takes away from what makes Kickstarter attractive and could be better handed under a different name but still associated with Kickstarter. Also fwiw all of the logos on one of the rewards are clear violations of others trademarks…. https://uploads.disquscdn.c

These are the projects they love and want more of. This is more on brand for them than most projects

I wrote you a long reply to this but just killed it. If you want to know more let me know and I can post or send it to you personally.

why would they even want to flirt with logo legals? they seem to add nothing to the proposition.

It’s stupid and doesn’t make any business sense to go there.

That’s such a great punk-aesthetic video. Well done Don Giovanni Records!

Humor is so important. Everyone should have a 7 minute stand-up routine on standby.
