In my new gig as interviewer, I sat down with Olaf Carlson-Wee, founder of Polychain Capital and one of the top token fund managers, at Token Summit.
A good one Fred. His thoughts on security of PoS networks is a bold counter industry view.
yes, he is a true believer in POS
best place to learn is from strong strongly held beliefs, well reasoned.
There wasn’t a dull moment in that interview. I think it was one of the highlights of the last Token Summit.
My favorite of the entire event.
How much capital are they managing? Are they registered?
yes, they are registered. aum fluctuates with the markets which are up a lot in the last three months, so i am not sure what that number is now, probably north of a billion
Is Olaf long on GlobalCoin?
The ‘efficiency’ of markets demands that protocols be ‘stress tested’. It’s the pressure of Darwinian evolution.
Couldn’t agree more with his comments on developer adoption and WASM enabling them to be productive with whatever programming languages they choose. Surprised Olaf didn’t mention EOS; it has been live with the WASM VM since launch.
